Duties and Responsibilities
As Night Cleaner Kitchen, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
- Keep the respective pot washing area, walk-in/reach-in refrigerators/kitchen floors and kitchen equipment clean at all times.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment and utensils such as pots, pans, etc. Are always clean and ready for use.
- Cleaning of kitchen floor area, walk-in and reach-in refrigerators in connection with the respective Senior Section Head in-charge
- Be present throughout service.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
- Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
- Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
- Attend meetings and training as required.
- Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.
Qualifications:
To execute the position of Night Cleaner Kitchen, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
- Secondary school education or vocational / technical certification in hospitality and more than one year’s experience in a similar hotel operational role.
- Technical skills include familiar with food and hygiene codes, and various hotel systems including operation knowledge of dish washing machine.
- Fluent in English

POSITION SUMMARY
Our Utility Cleaners play an important role in support of a number of vital hotel functions. At our hotels these associates may work across departments (e.g., kitchen, food and beverage, laundry) to support cleaning needs. Whether preparing fresh clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests to enjoy, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools (e.g., dish washing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers and dryers), or transporting dishware or linens across the hotel, these associates do whatever it takes to get the job done.
No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to success – creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees and departments, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
