Hildebrand Farms Dairy is looking for a full-time farm hand to assist our herdsman with day-to-day operations. Duties will include, but are not limited to, milking the cows morning and evening, feeding calves and cleaning the barn. Milking requires cleaning and attaching milk machines to each animal, monitoring the overall herd for health concerns, washing and cleaning the parlor and scrapping pens using the skid steer. We are looking for a self-starter who can handle limited supervision and can handle working in all elements. Must be comfortable working with cattle and machinery.
The opportunity for promotion is available for those who demonstrate great sense with the cattle, reliability, dependability and prove to show an attention to detail.
This position will work 5 days a week from 5 a.m. to at least 11 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This is a split shift position. Those who cannot work a split shift need not apply. Must be able to work weekends.
Requirements
- Physically able to handle heavy lifting from 40 – 90 lbs.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Dairy or livestock experience is a plus.
- Qualified drivers license with no more than three moving violations in the last year (CDL not required).

Full or Part Time Swine Farm Help Needed
Responsible to identify potential and actual pest problems, conduct inspections, and design control strategies.
Essential Job Duties
- Will begin work at 6:00 A.M. or earlier when needed.
- Control flies by monitoring fly cards weekly, barn inspections, and inspecting manure. Fog barns when needed and spray pits when needed. Take fly bait to barns. Outside flies spray when needed, maintain fly barrels, and fly strikes under hallways.
- Weekly inspection of mince in farm unites. Checks traps and look for entry ways in all barns and feedmill. Bait when necessary.
- Maintain rocks around barns, buildings, and hallways.
- Control weeds around barns, ponds, plant, all buildings, and structures. Spray and weed wack weeds.
- Monitor and deter wild birds from barns, feedmill, and other structures. Remove nests properly, maintain flags, use cannon when necessary, and inspect barn attics for bird activity. Maintain a weekly log.
- Inspect grounds for animal holes and activity. Set live traps where possible and fill holes.
- Pick-up barn garbage every Friday. Clean-up garbage around farm in a timely manner.
- Disinfect barns before re-populated with proper disinfectants.
- Check the bios weekly for pest activity such as cockroaches, mice, and flies.
- Conduct weekly monitoring of ammonia. After fall clean-out maintain ammonia with stalsan until spring. Weekly to bi-weekly treatments.
- Maintain equipment such as backpack foggers, sprayers, termal foggers, four wheeler, tractors, skidloaders, and skytrack.
- Complete monthly inspections of barns inside and out, as well as plant grounds.
- Check plant mice traps and fly lights weekly and maintain a record.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic reasoning and thinking skills.
- Able to withstand strong smells and deal with pests such a cockroaches, mice, and flies.
Physical Requirements
- Will stoop, kneel, crawl and bend.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Must be able to pass a pulmonary fit test to wear a respirator.
- Must wear different types of PPE.

- Inspeccionar el terreno para detectar madrigueras y actividad de animales. Colocar trampas vivas donde sea posible y rellenar los hoyos.
- Recoger la basura de las granjas todos los viernes. Limpiar la basura alrededor de la granja de manera oportuna.
- Desinfectar las granjas antes de repoblarlas con los desinfectantes adecuados.
- Revisar semanalmente las áreas de bioseguridad para detectar actividad de plagas como cucarachas, ratones y moscas.
- Realizar monitoreo semanal del amoníaco. Después de la limpieza de otoño, mantener el amoníaco con Stalosan hasta la primavera. Tratamientos semanales o quincenales.
- Mantener el equipo como nebulizadores de mochila, pulverizadores, nebulizadores térmicos, cuatrimotos, tractores, minicargadores y manipuladores telescópicos.
- Realizar inspecciones mensuales del interior y exterior de las granjas, así como de las instalaciones de la planta.
- Revisar semanalmente las trampas para ratones y las lámparas para moscas de la planta y mantener un registro.
- Otras funciones que se asignen.
Calificaciones
- Habilidades básicas de razonamiento y pensamiento.
- Capaz de trabajar en areas con olores fuertes y al rededor de cucarachas, ratones, y moscas.
Requisitos Físicos
Usar diferentes tipos de equipo de protección personal (EPP).
Inclinarse, arrodillarse, gatear y agacharse.
Subir escaleras y andamios.
